Erin is developing a broad civil litigation practice with a particular focus on complex commercial disputes, securities litigation, and regulatory and administrative law. She counsels clients on a range of issues, including contractual disputes, shareholder disputes, director and officer liability, breach of fiduciary duty and breach of confidence claims, and defamation. Erin has represented clients before all levels of court in British Columbia and before various administrative tribunals. Erin has substantially more trial and appellate experience than typical for her year of call, having acted as junior counsel in multiple BC Supreme Court trials and before the Court of Appeal.
Before joining the firm, Erin practiced at a leading commercial litigation boutique in Vancouver. Prior to that, Erin, a native of Baltimore, Maryland, served as judicial law clerk to the Honorable Christopher Panos on a felony trial docket at the Circuit Court for Baltimore City.
Erin graduated with a J.D. from the University of British Columbia. While at law school, she was a student clinician with the UBC Innocence Project working to exonerate those asserting wrongful convictions, and acted as the ombudsperson for the Law Students’ Society.
